ASSISTANT CHIEF MAINTENANCE ENGINEER

Learn from and work with our longtime maintenancechief with the goal of taking over for him when he retires. A hands on job.

LOOKING FOR THE FOLLOWING

*must be able to communicatein English*steady attendance, and extra hours may be required when necessary for critical projects

*flexible and willing to learn, there will be lots to learn

*good mechanical aptitude, and experience troubleshooting

*generally handy and a problem solver

SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS

*exposure and knowledge of safetyprocedures including lockout/tagout and confined space

*hands on experience and understanding of manufacturing processes

*knowledge of hydraulic and pneumaticsystems

*experience maintainingand repairing industrial machines

*proficiency in electrical 24v to 480v electronic controls, power supplies, wiring, motors and transformers

*experince in industrialplumbing including knowledge of pumps

*experince in wastewatertreatment and effluent systems

*knowledge of steam plant operations including pumps and valves. Either have or will need to get a City of Chicago boiler license. We pay for training. Pass test in 12 months

*basic knowledge of carpentry, masonry and building materials

$60 - $65 / hr
