What you will do:



Provides effective customer service by establishing a working relationship with internal and external customers through communication via mail or telephone or in-person with customers or company employees.
  • Establishes a professional working relationship with customers by listening carefully and proactively identifying concerns and providing solutions.
  • Takes orders from customers with the joint objectives of booking concrete volume and negotiating schedule time and pour spacing to optimize truck demand.
  • Obtain accurate pour information from customers.
  • Optimizes current-day deliveries by dynamically adjusting the original schedule to respond to unforeseen adjustments in customer deliveries.
  • Plans for efficient utilization of equipment by calling out the right number of trucks to balance the twin objectives of driver labor efficiency and on-time delivery.
  • Uses information from drivers on-site with customers to optimize customer service.
  • Works with the Sales and Administration departments to ensure all GCC Ready Mix Administration procedures are followed, particularly with respect to project entry.
  • Documents daily Key Performance Indicators to drive operational excellence in all departments.

Experience & abilities you will need:
  • High school or equivalent.
  • 1+ years of customer service experience required.
  • Geographic knowledge of local areas to schedule orders efficiently based on the physical location of the job.
  • Client Services Certifications a plus.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and give out driving instructions on site.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed, but uninvolved, written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
