Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited school of Radiation Therapy
•
Board certified or board-eligible with certification obtained within 6 months required
•
Radiation Therapy Technology by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist
•
Must hold and maintain current license as required by the

Must hold and maintain BCLS certification within 6 months of employmentResponsibilities
•
Under the general supervision of the Radiation Therapy Manager and according to established policies and procedures for various age groups of
•
patients, the Radiation Therapist delivers radiation therapy treatments to patients referred for radiation therapy
•
They render patient treatments
•
utilizing information provided by simulation, dosimetry and the physician’s treatment orders
•
Keeps treatment records and prepares operational
•
treatment units and radiation safety, preparing the treatment room, positioning patients and monitoring patients during the procedure
