Safety & Compliance Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our leadership team as the Safety & Compliance Coordinator, to lead our client's focus in Health, Environmental, and Safety throughout their organization.

Your primary objective will be to maintain a safe working environment and promote a safety culture throughout the organization.

✨ Key Responsibilities:

• and implement comprehensive safety policies and procedures in accordance with industry standards and regulations.
• regular safety inspections and audits at our 13 branches to identify potential hazards, assess risks, and recommend corrective actions.
• with management and employees to establish and maintain a safety committee, ensuring open lines of communication for safety-related matters.
• safety training and orientation to new employees, ensuring they are aware of safety protocols and procedures.
• and enforce compliance with safety regulations, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to safe work practices.
• accidents, incidents, and near-misses, documenting findings and implementing measures to prevent future occurrences. Management of insurance claims, incident reports, near misses.
• updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices to continuously improve the company's safety program.
• with external regulatory agencies and participate in safety audits and inspections.
• a positive safety culture by promoting awareness, accountability, and continuous improvement.

✍️Qualifications:

• Must have a High School Diploma, 2+ yrs. Higher Education Completion and 2+ years of relevant experience or equivalent.
• experience as a Safety Coordinator or similar role, preferably in a construction or industrial setting.
• knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations and best practices. Experience with writing policies and procedures for health and safety.
• understanding of hazard identification, risk assessment, and control measures.
• communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively train and educate employees on safety practices.
• to navigate challenging conversations effectively and respectfully when corrective action may need to be taken.
• analytical & problem-solving mindset to identify potential safety issues and propose effective solutions.
• in Occupational Health and Safety (OSHA) is highly desirable.
