Salary: $38,000-$45,000

Position summary: The Broadcast Coordinator/Associate Producer position exists to assist and manage as directed the development, production, postproduction, distribution, and archiving of the radio broadcast and all other audio content produced by the department for the organization.


Essential Duties:

  • Front line and initial incoming and outgoing communication and correspondence regarding broadcast proposals, pitches, scheduling, logistics, and dissemination of relevant information to the internal teams.


  • Prepare background materials and scripts for voice talent, hosts, announcers.


  • Evaluate potential topics, guests, books, articles, and submitted media for air.


  • Phone and email correspondence for incoming and outgoing research, prep, development, delivery, and distribution of content.


  • Develop and maintain relationships without outside publishers, public relations firms, agencies, ministries, and talent.


  • Schedule and coordinate interviews as directed.


  • Prepare questions, bios, and talking points for interviews as directed.


  • Prepare and write scripts and promo copy, as directed.


  • Coordinate the technical aspects, details, and logistics for all recording sessions, and communicate those details to internal teams, outside guests and associated parties, as directed.


  • Verify factual accuracy of all content recorded and produced.


  • Provide multimedia material taken from produced content to other departments for legal review, promotion, social, share-posts, collaborations, and advertising.


  • Administrative duties, including the scheduling of meetings, booking of travel, and preparing documents and expense reports, as directed.


  • Network, Station, Sponsor and Affiliate relations as directed.


  • Write first draft of show notes, titles and summary descriptions for internal web posts and affiliate deliverables.


  • Create and manage all online shared tracking documents associated with guest lists, topic themes, interview ideas, submissions, and final show meta-data.


Other Responsibilities:


  • Produce and assist with special features, promos, radio and tv spots, and “one-off” stand alone products and projects as requested.


  • Exhibit a high level of resourcefulness, intelligence and independence.


  • Ability to work remotely, and to travel for work for short periods.


Job Qualifications/Requirements:


Character:

Must be a consistent witness for Jesus and maintain and demonstrate a kind, Christ-like attitude in dealing with staff, leadership, constituents, association members, customers, and the public at large; Adhere to the standards set forth in the employee manual in regard to moral, ethical, and professional conduct.


Personal Characteristics:

Must be self-disciplined, self-motivated, have flexibility with work flow and assignments, possess analytical and critical thinking, be approachable, have attention to detail, and maintain strong written, grammatical, and verbal skills.


Knowledge/Experience:

An associate degree, B.A., or B.S. in communications, media arts, film and/or broadcasting, or related field from an accredited college or university required.



Skills, Abilities, Additional Talents:

Strong organizational skills required; Microsoft Office and Excel proficiency required; Slack software experience and task-management software (Asana) experience required; Basic Adobe Creative Suite skills (Photoshop, Audition, ProTools) a plus; Excellent time-management and interpersonal soft skills a plus; Ability to use basic field recording equipment a plus; Attention to detail and accuracy required; Willingness to be trained on audio and camera gear a plus.


Working Environment/Physical Requirements:

Some walking and extended standing will be required for production, field recording and travel; Employee must be able to lift as much as 25 lbs., (boxes, books, recording gear, mics, mic stands, cameras, tripods, lights, etc.) on occasion.
