Assistant Restaurant Manager - Chophouse/Steakhouse

As the Assistant Restaurant Manager on our grand opening team, you will play a pivotal role in setting the tone for the impeccable service and unparalleled hospitality that our steakhouse will be known for. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Grand Opening Preparation:

• Collaborate closely with the management team to ensure that all aspects of the grand opening are meticulously planned and executed to perfection.
• Assist with the setup and design of the restaurant space, ensuring that every detail reflects our commitment to elegance, sophistication, and the art of steakhouse dining.

Team Building and Training:

• Assist in recruiting, training, and inspiring a team of hospitality professionals, instilling in them a passion for excellence, a dedication to service, and a commitment to creating memorable experiences for our guests.
• Conduct training sessions to familiarize staff with our menu offerings, service standards, and the unique ambiance of our steakhouse.
• Complete appropriate training listed on the human resources Training Matrix.
• Adhere to Wheeling Park Commission’s safety rules and policy; refer any and all safety concerns to department manager, safety committee or human resources.
• Interact with the public with a cheerful and positive attitude, solve guest problems and complaints in a proper manner, and maintain harmonious working relationships with fellow employees.

Guest Experience:

• Set the stage for extraordinary dining experiences, ensuring that every guest feels welcomed, valued, and pampered from the moment they enter our restaurant.
• Anticipate guest needs and preferences, delivering personalized service and creating magical moments that leave a lasting impression.

Operational Support:

• Provide support to the management team in all aspects of restaurant operations, including reservations, seating arrangements, and service flow, to ensure a seamless and enjoyable dining experience for our guests.
• Assist in implementing efficient systems and procedures to optimize productivity, minimize waste, and maximize profitability without compromising on quality or service standards.

Marketing and Promotion:

• Collaborate with the marketing team to generate excitement and anticipation around our grand opening, engaging with the local community and cultivating relationships with key influencers to build buzz and establish our steakhouse as the premier dining destination in Wheeling.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in upscale dining establishments, with a passion for hospitality and a flair for the dramatic.
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to connect with guests on a personal level and create memorable experiences that exceed their expectations.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and ensure flawless execution of our grand opening.
• A positive attitude, a willingness to learn, and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of service, integrity, and professionalism.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Two year college or university program certificate; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
