Position Summary:

As a People Services Business Partner at EngageMED, you will provide human resources consultation and support to designated business units, utilizing your knowledge of various human resources functions, including staffing, compensation, benefits, training, and employee relations to provide tactical HR support to department leadership. You will consult with department leadership in the strategic planning process and development of human resources strategies that support the department's business needs, acting as a liaison to other human resources functions when necessary. The position formulates partnerships through working directly with the organization's leadership finding solutions to problems and working to implement and execute the HR strategy that closely supports the organizational goals.


Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clinic and department managers and associates on HR-related matters.Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
  • Provide specialist advice on the interpretation and application of policies and procedures, resolving complex or contentious queries and issues and enabling others to take appropriate actions.
  • Investigate, and propose solutions for complex ER cases in liaison with line managers; coordinate the organization's response to legal cases brought by individuals; contribute to the preparation of legal submissions and ensure all parties complete casework accurately and within deadlines.
  • Provide direction and input to business leaders regarding overall people strategies that support the culture, company direction, and the growth needs of the business and its employees.
  • Provide expert and objective advice, coaching, and counsel to leaders and employees on HR programs, policy and procedures, employment/labor laws, conflict resolution, change management, diversity, and organizational development to promote a fair and equitable work environment.
  • Primary point of contact to ensure an optimal work environment, serve as an advocate for all employees, and enable and support employee career success.
  • Maintain current and complete understanding of Federal and State employment laws such as (Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, FLSA, ADA, FMLA, ADEA, sexual harassment, and NLRA). Protect company's interests by ensuring all legal requirements are met and complied with through proactive practices, investigations and actions.
  • Embrace and integrate DE&I in business strategies.
  • Conducts HR training and/or assists in the implementation of human resources initiatives or projects.
  • Partner with other HR areas to provide guidance and input on compensation administration, including job evaluations to ensure internal equity and market competitiveness. Assist management with annual performance review and merit processes
  • Conducts ad hoc and prepared presentations to employees and management.
  • Manages a variety of assignments concurrently and interacts with all levels of management and staff.
  • Produces accurate, thorough and timely work, while meeting commitments and following policies and procedures.
  • Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned.


Requirements:

Education and Experience:

  • Five (5) plus years of HR generalist experience, including complex employee relations, performance management, compensation, leave management, and talent assessment, required
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience resolving complex employee relations issues.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred. May substitute education for equivalent experience PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP/SCP or other relevant certifications preferred.


Physical Requirements:


  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Utilization of the telephone both voice and text.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
