As a People Business Partner (PBP), you will play a critical role in supporting the Senior People Business Partner in delivering high-impact HR solutions to business leaders and employees across our Software & Program teams. This role offers an excellent opportunity to learn and grow in the People space while building trusted partnerships and directly owning relationships with assigned client groups. You will support employee engagement, talent processes, team effectiveness, and culture across your designated client groups, working closely with the broader People team to ensure consistent and effective execution of People strategies. Â

What you'd be doing:Â
- Partner with business leaders to assess organizational needs and translate them into actionable people strategiesÂ
- Support workforce planning, org design, and team structure decisions that enable growth and effectivenessÂ
- Coach managers on performance management, feedback, and development conversationsÂ
- Guide employee relations matters in collaboration with the Director of ER & Compliance to ensure fair, timely resolutionsÂ
- Help deliver core HR programs like engagement surveys, compensation reviews, performance cycles, and talent planningÂ
- Use people data and engagement insights to identify trends, improve retention, and drive a strong team cultureÂ
- Support recruiting efforts by aligning roles to business needs and partnering on hiring and onboardingÂ
- Communicate HR policies, programs, and changes clearly and consistently across teamsÂ
- Champion inclusion and engagement by supporting DEIB efforts and fostering a values-driven cultureÂ
- Partner closely with the Senior People Business Partner to deliver tailored people solutions that align with business priorities and SageSure's values
We're looking for someone who has:Â
- Bachelor's degree preferred, with 5-7 years of experience as a People Business PartnerÂ
- Strong working knowledge of core HR functions, including employee relations, recruiting, performance management, and engagementÂ
- Familiarity with U.S. employment law and HR compliance practices; California knowledge is a plusÂ
- Experience supporting fast-paced teams that coordinate across multiple business functions to deliver complex initiatives
- Ability to solve problems of basic complexity; resourceful and takes initiative to seek internal and external resources and support when problem-solvingÂ
- Experience with Microsoft platforms (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and HR people platformsÂ
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretionÂ
Highly preferred candidates also have:Â
- HR-related certification (e.g. PHR or SPHR)Â
- Insurance experienceÂ
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, formulas, lookups, data analysis, and executive-ready reporting
- Experience using Smartsheet for project tracking, workflow management, dashboards, or cross-functional planning
