Customer Service Representative

RemX is seeking a team of Customer Service Representatives responsible for inbound calls for a Healthcare Insurance Client near Miramar, Florida (Miami area)!

To ensure success as a health care customer service representative, you should be able to process and disseminate vast amounts of information. An outstanding Health Care Customer Service Representative will possess an aptitude for learning and continual development

Responsibilities: 

• Will assist with coordination of member navigation plans
• Familiarizing yourself with and remaining up-to-date with changes in our plans and tariffs
• Greeting customers in a friendly, professional manner using the suggested script
• Answering telephonic and e-mail inquiries in a timely manner
• Deferring queries to your line manager if you are unable to answer them
• Furnishing members and health care practitioners with details regarding members' benefits
• Granting pre-authorizations for medical treatment, if covered
• Advising members of outstanding co-payments
• Providing extant and prospective members with the details of network providers
• Canceling members' plans upon their request, or due to recurrent non-payment, if directed by your line manager
• Ensuring that your workspace remains tidy and that you are equipped with all relevant tools and resource

Qualifications:

• Spanish Speaking Required
• Strong computer skills
• Superb verbal and written communication skills
• GED / High School Diploma (or higher) REQUIRED
• 1+ year experience in customer service REQUIRED
• Call Center / Health Care / Insurance environment highly preferred
• Thorough, with excellent listening skills
• Ability to calm irate, anxious, or grieving customers
• Capacity to navigate stressful situations with ease
• Available to work shifts, which may include work during evenings, weekends, and public holidays
• Prior experience as a customer service specialist or equivalent, ideally within a similar setting
