Cost Control and Manufacturing Analytics Expert Wanted (Manufacturing / Plant Controller)

Flexcraft is a rapidly growing, sustainability-focused plastic manufacturing company located in NJ. As a company committed to excellence and continuous improvement, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our team as a Manufacturing / Cost Accountant. This role is pivotal in ensuring our operations run smoothly and efficiently, and the successful candidate will make an immediate and ongoing impact.

In this role at Flexcraft, you will:

• Own Cost Analysis: Track, analyze, and report on all manufacturing costs, including materials, labor, and overhead.
• Analyze Variances: Identify and investigate cost discrepancies, becoming a detective of efficiency and help point out things that can immediately improve the business.
• Relentlessly control costs: Develop and implement strategies to optimize costs and maximize profitability.
• Be a budgeting expert: Assist in crafting and monitoring budgets/forecasts, ensuring we stay on track.
• Tell important stories with Data: Transform financial data into actionable insights for informed decision-making.
• Work in a fun, fulfilling team environment: Collaborate with operations, engineering, and finance teams to achieve shared goals.
• Learn Continuously: Stay ahead of the curve by keeping up with industry best practices and accounting standards. You will also seek out new technologies that can streamline operations, presenting your findings and analysis to Management.

Candidates should possess the following:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (a CMA is a plus!)
• Minimum 5 years of manufacturing accounting experience
• Public Accounting Experience a plus
• Rock-solid understanding of cost accounting principles
• Excel and ERP software mastery
• Technically proficient, with an ability to adopt new software and technologies
• Analytical mind and problem-solving prowess
• Keen eye for detail and accuracy
• Teamwork and collaboration throughout the company!
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Bonus points if you have:

• Experience with lean manufacturing and six sigma principles
• A knack for explaining complex financial concepts in simple terms
• A collaborative, positive, and can-do attitude
