Job Description

RJV Equipment is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Associate. The Accounts Payable Associate provides financial, administrative, and clerical support by ensuring payments are completed and expenses are controlled by processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices according to established policies and procedures in an efficient, timely and accurate manner. This is an On-Site position.

Responsibilities for Accounts Payable

Timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices and credit card expenditures
Reviewing all invoices and credit card expenditures for appropriate documentation and approval, prior to payment
Ensuring invoices are properly coded
Answering questions from vendors and clients
Processing electronic bill payments
Maintaining vendor files
Maintaining W-9s and preparing 1099s
Reconciling vendor statements, including researching and correcting discrepancies
Assisting in month-end closing
Maintaining files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices

Qualifications for Accounts Payable

1-5 years experience for entry-level positions
Relevant experience using modern communication systems, including email and phone systems
Expert-level experience using productivity tools, such as Microsoft Office Suite
A desire and ability to work collaboratively with others to accomplish daily goals
A high degree of accuracy
Great attention to detail
Strong customer service skills
Ability to calculate and manage accounting figures
Basic understanding of accounting principles
