Our Quality Assurance Assistant assists in assuring company and industry quality standards are maintained, leads internal audits, maintains company record keeping procedures, ensures follow-up on corrective action plans and areas of non-conformance, and assists in maintaining the Quality Assurance and Food Safety Programs in the Provisur Paper Plant. They will also back up SQF practitioner duties, and performs back up Production Assistant and Quality Assurance Technician duties.
What You’ll do:
- Assist Quality Assurance Supervisor in maintaining quality assurance procedures, policies, and processes.
- Maintain quality record keeping: Review all quality documentation, enter data, and include lot tracking.
- Conduct company first party audits and leads internal audits.
- Plan, conduct and monitor testing and inspection of materials and products to ensure finished product quality.
- Conduct environmental monitoring testing, scheduling, and sample collection.
- Assist on-site audits conducted by external third-party auditors.
- Back up SQF Practitioner.
- Train production personnel in company rules and procedures.

What You’ll Need:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- HACCP Certificate
- SQF Practitioner Certificate
- Internal Audit Certificate
- 2-3 years’ experience in a quality related field, working in a production environment.
- Experience in quality inspection and auditing concepts and terms.
- Experience in GFSI-SQF or any other third-party audit programs.
