Territory Sales Representative (Underground/Drill Specialist)

Vermeer Southwest is a heavy equipment dealer specializing in many different types of environmental and construction equipment. Vermeer Southwest has been doing business since 1989 and has branches located in Phoenix, Tucson, Las Vegas, El Paso and Albuquerque. This position will directly report to the Territory Sales Manager
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
·Develop, grow, and sell Vermeer equipment specializing in directional drills, vacuum excavators, mixing systems, and all underground equipment.
·Calling on customers in assigned territory, selling new and used equipment, rentals, parts and service solutions
·Identifying and cultivating new sales opportunities
·Conducting equipment demonstrations in the field and/or at customer job sites
·Loading and unloading equipment onto trailers and towing equipment to customer job sites
·Processing all quotes, sales, rentals, and lease-purchase agreements. Supporting customer and company needs during credit and/or financing applications
·Assisting Accounts Receivables with collections
·Developing and maintaining strong knowledge of Vermeer equipment line-up in addition to alliance partner equipment and competitive products
·Ability to obtain and maintain a CDL A driver's license
·Represents Vermeer Southwest at factory, industry and company events including meetings and training
·Follows all safety rules and regulations while performing work assignments according to company policies and procedures
·Performs other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications:
·Experience with directional drilling operations preferred
·High school diploma, GED
·Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
·2-4 years outside sales experience preferred
·Computer skills required
·Background check and pre-employment drug testing required
·Valid driver's license and ability to meet requirements of company driver policies. Vermeer Southwest will annually review motor vehicle records for all employees for whom driving a motor vehicle is an essential job function.
·Able to bend, squat, or climb on equipment frequently, lift at least 75 lbs, stand or walk for extended period on slippery or uneven job sites, and may work in extremely hot weather conditions.
·Some basic mechanical skills required (ability load and unload trailers, change a tire, etc.
**Bi-lingual communication skills a plus**
