We are looking for a friendly and professional experienced Human Resource Generalist to join our vibrant entertainment industry team. As a Human Resource Generalist, you will play a vital role in creating a positive and inclusive work environment for our employees. With your exceptional interpersonal skills and knowledge of HR best practices, you will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of HR activities to attract, develop, and retain top talent.
Responsibilities
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, documentation and performs periodic audits of HR files/records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately
- Assist the HRIS Analyst with managing and updating HR databases
- Act as primary backup for payroll processing, including updates to employee files, bonus/incentive pay, PTO/sick pay, Concur/Accounting, employee verifications, and benefits changes
- Provide guidance and support to applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to appropriate senior-level HR staff or management
- Organizes and manages new hire orientation
- Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, and holiday parties
- Implement and administer employee benefits programs and ensure compliance with relevant regulations
- Conduct investigations and mediate employee relations issues, providing resolution and maintaining a positive work atmosphere
- Stay updated on HR trends and best practices to ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations
- Support the HR team in various HR projects and initiatives, including policy development and implementation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure HR practices align with organizational goals
- Assist with leave of absence process and guide employees
Requirements
- Associate degree in related field preferred
- At least 2-3 years of human resources experience
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll management, human resource information system (HRIS), and talent management systems
- Proven experience working as an HR Generalist or similar role with in-depth knowledge of HR best practices and employment laws
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
