Northwood Club is a premier country club established in 1946 and located in Dallas, Texas, best known for hosting the 1952 U.S. Open. We are known for one of the best PGA Championship Golf Courses in Texas we were named Best Overall Private Club in Avid Golfer Magazine in 2022 - 2024. The club also has a Distinguished Clubs of the World Emerald Designation for outstanding member service. We are looking for individuals to work at the pool area in the evenings during the summer. Must be able to work with young children and communicate accordingly with them. This is a seasonal position that will be from end of May - September 2nd.

Youth Activities Coordinator is responsible for providing personalized care to the membership regarding youth activities and events at the pool. This position may require you to assist the F&B operations for additional hours and during down time when there are no kids in the youth room or opportunity to provide activities.

Essential Duties:

  • Responsible for set-up/clean-up, facilitation, and participation in all activities for the membership youth at the pool.
  • Seek out participation from the group while displaying energy, great attitude, enthusiasm, and self-motivation.
  • Ability to relate well to all ages while offering a passion in offering an entertaining program and event. Knowing which entertainment will be best offered at certain times and days based on your audience (i.e. bingo, trivia, sports challenges).
  • Assist or direct family event planning such as family fun nights.
  • Provides event information for weekly and monthly calendars along with activities for quarterly newsletter.
  • Ensure proper paperwork and waivers are created and signed by parents prior to children's activities if required.
  • Assists the pool manager, performs certain duties as instructed.
  • Additional duties of food runner and server when scheduled. To include taking orders when needed. Cleaning tables, providing menu information, and filling drink orders.
  • Maintains flexibility to take on new and different tasks as directed by the Department Manager/Supervisor.
  • Attends staff meetings when required.


Education/Experience: High school education; or related experience or training working with children; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills: Fluent English is required. Effective communication to members, staff and children is required daily.

Mathematical Skills: May be required: to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.

Reasoning Ability: May be required: to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one and two step instructions; to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.

Physical Demands: Frequently stands and walks; uses hands to finger, feel or handle; reach with hands and arms. Occasionally stoops, kneels, crawls, crouches, sits, talks or hears. Regularly lifts up to 25 pounds.

Environment/Noise: Frequently works indoors throughout the year. Summer works outdoors near pool and other outdoor activities where required. Will work in extreme heat during summer months. Noise level is moderate.

Certificates/Licenses: Must be at least age 16. First Aid and CPR certified.
