Food Safety and Compliance Specialist

Up to $75,000 to start plus bonus and full benefits

JobGiraffe's client is a specialist in the food and beverage processing industry

As Food Safety and Compliance Specialist, you will:

Report to the Compliance Manager
Receive industry-specific training
Serve as an internal subject matter expert
Coordinate with customers, vendors and internal teams
Address questions and inquiries as they arise
Oversee and administer regulatory compliance systems and programs
Conduct internal safety and compliance audits
Administer safety, regulatory compliance and quality documentation
Participate in safety meetings
Ensure manufacturing, processing, packaging, packing and distribution standards uphold established safety and compliance standards
Conduct risk assessments
Facilitate certification(s) processes
Monitor changes to laws, regulations and standards to ensure ongoing compliance
Run routine and special reports
Conduct routine and special analysis
Contribute to strategic planning and continuous improvement efforts
Handle special projects
Perform other duties as assigned

An ideal candidate profile will include:

Food Safety and Food Regulatory Compliance experience

With:

Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
Accurate Data Entry skills
A High School Diploma or Equivalent

Pluses:

+++ An Associate's or Bachelor's Degree, especially in a relevant field
+++ Related Certification(s) / Training
