Job Description

​​​​​We are currently seeking a Service Manager to join our team!

Biostate.AI aims to build a foundational model of biology that can predict the evolution of health and disease. For each subject, Biostate 's neural network will use past multiomic state information to predict future multiomic states, which in turn can be used to classify future disease states. Biostate's ultimate goal is to improve human healthspan, and proximally can facilitate biopharma drug development through accurate prediction of toxicology in preclinical research.

Primary Purpose of Position:

We're excited to announce an opening for a Service Manager to spearhead the launch and operation of our new animal farm laboratory. This role is instrumental in enhancing our research capabilities and requires a leader skilled in managing complex service operations, team leadership, and operational efficiency.


 

Essential Duties:

  • Facility Development and Renovation: 

    • Spearhead the layout and establishment of the laboratory, aligning with our research goals while adhering to budgetary and timeline constraints.

  • Equipment and Inventory Management: 

    • Formulate strategies for equipment acquisition, management, and utilization. 

  • Personnel Management and Training:

    • Recruit and lead technical support staff, providing training on operational procedures and safety protocols.

  • Operational Management: 

    • Oversee administrative tasks, budgeting, and inventory management. 

  • Animal Colony Maintenance: 

    • Manage the care and ethical treatment of animal colonies, ensuring regulatory compliance.

 

Qualifications:

  • Degree of Bachelor or Master in related field. 

  • Minimum three years of experience in a leadership role within production, manufacturing, or service operations, preferably as a Supervisor, Manager, or Associate Director.

  • Strong managerial skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.

  • Familiarity with QA/QC, ISO 9001, ISO 13485, LIMS, and JIT manufacturing is beneficial but not mandatory.
