Who We Are

PCMI (Policy Claim Management International) is a fast-growing, leading provider of integrated software for Extended Warranty Management and Finance and Insurance (F&I) administration. We are a SaaS company that operates in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment. Our 3 teams located in the US, Poland, and Thailand work collaboratively around the clock to build our PCRS platform that automates the full administration lifecycle of all extended warranties, F&I products, and service contracts for our customers.

What You’ll Do

In this role as an HR Generalist, you will undertake a wide range of HR tasks such as organizing employee training, administering employee benefits, processing payroll, recruiting, employee engagement and drafting HR policies. The goal is to ensure the HR department’s operations run smoothly and effectively to deliver maximum value to the organization. You will be the positive, professional impression of the organization for employees, candidates and customers. Additionally, you’ll own all general office tasks and administrative duties.

In this role, you will:

  • Recruit, interview, and facilitate the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborate with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings; Conduct or acquire background checks and employee eligibility verifications; Provide guidance to managers on best practices in hiring/interviewing/assessing candidates.
  • Perform routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs; Assist in the implementation of human resource policies and procedures. Act as main point of contact for employees regarding HR, benefits, payroll, recruiting, engagement, events, etc.
  • Assist HR Manager with benefit administration including annual open enrollment, new hire enrollments and reporting; Responsible to leave tracking.
  • Assist HR Manager with performance management including annual performance reviews, new hire reviews and PIPs. Coach managers on employee feedback.
  • Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff; Provide support to employees in various HR-related topics such as leaves, benefits, payroll and company policies and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Attend and participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations with the oversight of the HR Manager; assist with documentation and recommendations for resolution; Partner with our HR team to manage employee relations issues, ensuring that all employees feel heard and supported.
  • Review, track, and document compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.
  • Implement and manage an engaging new hire orientation and employee recognition programs; Assist with employee onboarding and training, ensuring that new hires are integrated seamlessly into our workplace culture.
  • Partner with the HR team to enhance job satisfaction by implementing and organizing team building activities, volunteer days and other engagement initiatives. Use data to track the value of all engagement activities, as well as, budget adherence. Provide recommendations to HR Manager.
  • Assist in conducting employee surveys and focus groups to gather feedback and continuously improve our employee engagement and HR programs.
  • Gather and analyze data with useful HR metrics, like time to hire and employee turnover rates.
  • Design and implement employee engagement programs and initiatives that promote a positive work culture and align with our company's culture and values; Develop engaging programs focusing on in-office and remote employees.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to promote employee recognition and appreciation; Collaborate with leadership to increase employee engagement using an efficient and high-touch experience throughout the employee lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with managers to plan engaging team building activities for in-office and remote teams to engage employees and bolster work performance; Create and implement a reference toolkit for remote engagement of employees.
  • Support inclusion and diversity to enhance workplace culture.
  • Develop and implement employee wellness programs that promote work-life balance and overall well-being.
  • Plan and execute a quarterly Town Hall meeting for US, Poland and Thailand locations.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance; maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law; brings innovative ideas to the table.
  • Maintain employee files and records in electronic and paper form to ensure compliance.
  • Ensure company adherence to OSHA standards.
  • Collaborate with HR and Marketing on employer branding.
  • Write and edit content for our internal communication channels including the monthly company wide newsletter; support the development and execution of internal communication campaigns; partner with Marketing on branding.
  • Keep office announcement boards and Sharepoint/Confluence up to date; Manage companywide Outlook calendar; add all holidays, events, and conferences.
  • General office administrative duties such as placing orders, stocking the kitchen, scheduling meetings, coordinating events and onsite visitors.
  • Assisting CEO & President with travel accommodations and basic meeting scheduling.

What You’ll Need to Join Our Team

Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • At least two years of human resources experience.
  • Understanding of general human resources policies and procedures.
  • Experience drafting company communications.
  • Experience planning and executing employee engagement events.
  • Experience in talent acquisition including, job postings, interviewing, scheduling, conducting assessment, creating offers and completing background checks/employee eligibility verifications.
  • Understanding of state and federal employment law.
  • Experience with payroll and benefits administration, preferred.
  • Human resources certification preferred such as SHRM-CP, PHR or aPHR.

Base compensation for this role is budgeted at $50,000-$60,000 Annually.

*Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related aspects.

Note: this role will be required to be in the Park Ridge, IL office 3 days per week with occasional opportunities to work from home.
