Job Description

The Generalist will assist various human resource functions to support the workforce. This role involves managing the documentation of a standard operating procedures (SOP) manual and overseeing employee document compliance. We are looking for someone who may specialize in one of the following areas: HRIS, AAAHC, or Recruiting but is not required.

We seek an individual who is process-oriented, bright, focused, self-motivated, friendly, organized, flexible, adaptable, and able to build rapport quickly.

Some of the responsibilities will include:

  • In conjunction with the Director of People Services, document current practices and assist in creating a process manual (Standard Operating Procedures) to support the various areas of People Services (recruiting, benefits, HRIS, onboarding and offboarding, compensation…
  • Provide an excellent onboarding experience for new hires, rehires, and internal movements.
  • Become a super-user of Human Resources Information System (HRIS), currently ADP workforce.
  • Proactively provide recommendations for continuous improvements and process efficiencies.
  • Assist in implementing employee engagement initiatives and celebrations, including Diversity & Inclusion, recognition, team building and other opportunities.
  • Maintains integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records, as this role will regularly expose highly confidential information.
  • Responsible for processing, tracking, and documenting compliance-related functions, such as: license/certification/registration maintenance, documentation of employee competencies and performance evaluations, orientations, and employee health requirements.
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with employment laws, government agencies, and company policies and procedure (e.g. Occupational Safety and Health Act., Equal Employment Opportunity, Wage and Hour, Affirmative Action, employee records administration, etc.). Conduct annual HR compliance/standards self-audit.

Prior Experience and Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field required
  • Minimum of 2 years prior HR experience
  • Project Management or Operating Procedure Creation required.
  • Experience with HR/Payroll/Benefits software (ADP Workforce) is strongly preferred.
  • AAAHC, HRIS or Recruiting specialization preferred.
