Position Overview:
Responsible for leading, supporting and directing all hotel operations including the water park and event center. Responsible for the overall financial success of the hotel by following the hotel business plan that includes a detailed budget and sales and marketing plan. Responsible for the safety, security, and overall maintenance of the building. Direct the operations of the property, ensuring the highest levels of guest and associate satisfaction while maximizing operational quality, revenues, profitability, and efficiency.

Qualification Standards:

Education: High School Diploma or GED
College degree in hospitality management preferred
Experience: 2-5 years of hotel experience within various departments within the hotel
At least 2 years' experience supervising staff
Licenses or Certificates: State requirements

Essential Functions:
- Responsible for the financial success of the hotel, waterpark and event center. This is obtained by achieving or exceeding budgeted revenue and expense goals, driving revenues, monitoring and controlling cost centers such as Labor, Food, Beverage, and General and Administrative.
- Responsible for the property's operational quality, to ensure the highest level of guest and associate satisfaction. Support, lead and direct the department heads and management team in this effort.
- Responsible for the continued growth of the hotel and conference center by maximizing revenues, sales building and marketing efforts.

- Communicate effectively with staff and guests, verbally and in writing. This being done with a strong understanding of the English language.
- Possess and demonstrate supervisory and training skills.
- Operate computer and navigate property management system. Understand and analyze data utilizing spreadsheets and word processing.
- Possess and demonstrate interpersonal and sales related experience.
- Possess and demonstrate in depth knowledge of front desk reservation systems and processes.
- Have working knowledge of most departments within the hotel.
- Possess and demonstrate organizational and planning skills.
- Organize, perform and prioritize work. Ability to meet deadlines, and ensure thorough and accurate completion of assignments.
- Act independently with minimal or no supervision.
- Thorough knowledge of federal, state and local laws governing equal employment opportunity and civil rights, occupational safety and health, wage and hour issues, labor relations, and corporate and property-specific policies.
- Requires the ability to walk and stand during long lengths of time.
- Exert well-paced ability to reach other departments of the hotel in a timely basis.
- Requires ability to lift 20-30 lbs. intermittently during the workday.
- Climb steps in hotels that do not provide elevators.
- Travel by car and by air occasionally.
