Senior Financial Analyst

SHR Talent is partnering with a fast-growing Tech company in Nashville, TN in its search for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Financial Analyst to join on an immediate contract basis. The Senior Financial Analyst is a pivotal role that will involve working closely with cross-functional teams to gather, analyze, and interpret financial data, providing valuable insights to drive strategic decision-making and optimize financial performance.

Responsibilities:

• Compile and analyze financial data from various sources to prepare accurate and insightful financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements
• Conduct thorough variance analysis to identify key drivers of financial performance and highlight areas for improvement
• Develop and maintain financial models to forecast and track budgetary and operational goals, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements and provide data-driven recommendations to support decision-making processes
• Utilize advanced Excel functions to manipulate and visualize data effectively
• Identify trends and patterns within financial data, offering actionable insights to enhance efficiency, mitigate risks, and capitalize on opportunities
• Prepare presentations and dashboards to communicate findings and recommendations to senior management and key stakeholders
• Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in financial reporting and data analysis, recommending and implementing process improvements as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
• Master's degree or relevant professional certification such as Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA), preferred
• Proven experience in financial reporting, data analysis, or a similar role within the tech industry or a fast-paced corporate environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and complex formulae
• Experience with financial modeling and data visualization tools such as Tableau, a plus
• Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), financial statements, and regulatory requirements
• Familiarity with SEC reporting standards, advantageous
