Walkup Studio

Job description

Walkup Studio is a social-first digital media agency offering strategy, content, production, and platform management. We partner with fashion, lifestyle, and mission-led brands — as well as creators and talent — to help them grow and shine online through elevated storytelling, high-impact visuals, and data-driven strategies.

We're seeking an experienced Director of Talent to lead the strategy, operations and execution across our high-profile talent accounts. This role will oversee the Talent team, managing both client relationships and internal team members to ensure content, campaigns, partnerships, and social initiatives are executed seamlessly and at the highest standard.

The ideal candidate is a strategic leader with deep experience in talent management, social media, influencer marketing, and digital storytelling. You'll serve as the senior point of contact across talent, management teams, brand partners, and internal departments — driving operational excellence, team leadership, and long-term growth for the division.

  • Lead and over-see the day-to-day management and long term strategies across multiple high-profile talent accounts.
  • Serve as the senior strategic lead and primary escalation point for talent, management teams, brand partners, and internal stakeholders.
  • Manage and mentor the Talent team, providing guidance across account strategy, workflow management, client communication, and professional development.
  • Oversee the development and execution of social media strategies, campaign launches, content initiatives, and brand partnerships across platforms including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X/Twitter, and emerging channels.
  • Ensure all deliverables move efficiently from concept through execution, approvals, and publishing while maintaining exceptional quality control.
  • Maintain oversight of content calendars, campaign timelines, launches, press moments, tours, partnerships, and real-time engagement opportunities.
  • Oversee administrative and operational processes including approvals, budgeting support, expense tracking, and asset management.
  • Partner closely with all key stakeholders, including creative, production, PR, and brand teams to ensure alignment across all talent initiatives.
  • Provide strategic counsel and thoughtful decision-making in fast-paced, high-pressure environments while maintaining discretion and confidentiality at all times.
  • Oversee social publishing workflows and ensure all content is on-brand, approved, optimized, and delivered on schedule.
  • Lead talent-related brainstorms, campaign development, and creative ideation sessions informed by performance insights, audience behavior, and cultural trends.
  • Monitor campaign and content performance, identifying opportunities for optimization, audience growth, and increased engagement.
  • Anticipate business and client needs, proactively identify risks, and implement solutions before challenges escalate.
  • Support new business development opportunities and contribute to the continued growth and evolution of the Talent division.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in Talent Management, influencer marketing, social media, account management and/or entertainment industry
  • Proven experience managing high-profile talent, celebrity, creator, or public figure accounts within an agency, management company, media, or entertainment environment.
  • Skilled at creating pitches, strategies and talking points
  • Exceptional client management and communication skills, including experience working directly with talent, agents, managers, publicists, and brand partners.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and mentoring teams in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.
  • Deep understanding of social media platforms, digital trends, influencer strategy, audience engagement, and content best practices across Instagram, TikTok, X, and emerging channels.
  • Creative and energetic personality
  • Experience analyzing campaign performance, audience insights, and social metrics to inform strategy and optimization.
  • Ability to write stylistically and shift writing styles based on client deliverables and internal meetings
  • Ability to maintain professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality when handling sensitive talent and client matters.
  • Comfortable working across a variety of fields and clients
  • Strong strategic thinking and operational management skills, with the ability to oversee multiple campaigns, stakeholders, and priorities simultaneously.
  • Passion for culture, entertainment, fashion, beauty, lifestyle, and the evolving creator economy.

Benefits:

  • Competitive salary and performance bonuses.
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Retirement plan options.
  • Generous vacation policy and flexible working arrangements.
  • Continuous learning and development opportunities.

How to Apply: Please submit your resume and a cover letter explaining why you are the perfect fit for this role.
