Acute Care RN Manager - 1.0 FTE

In this role you'll be responsible and accountable for daily operations of the Med/Surg and Emergency departments; advocate and allocate resources to promote efficient, effective, safe, quality and compassionate nursing care based on current standards of practice; integrate clinical, human resource, and financial data to support decision making; promote research and integrates evidence-based practice into clinical, operational, and leadership processes; and ensure compliance with regulatory and professional standards.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing, required, bachelor’s degree in nursing, preferred.
- State of Wisconsin Registered Nurse license, or ability to obtain, required.
- Current BLS/CPR certification, required.
- Current ACLS certification or ability to obtain, required.
- Minimum of 3 years of hospital nursing experience, required.
- Minimum of 1 year of supervision/leadership experience, preferred.
Responsibilities Include:
- Demonstrating leadership through supervision, facilitation, and coordination of clinical care.
- Collaborating with nursing leadership in organizational planning, innovations, and evaluation of initiatives.
- Contributing to the professional development of staff, students, and colleagues in an environment of mutual respect and understanding.

- Demonstrating standards of a Professional Nurse who practices according to the OMC Behavioral Standards.

Knowledge, Abilities & Skills
- Knowledge and experience documenting patient care in an electronic medical record.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
- Ability to make knowledgeable clinical assessments and judgments.
- Ability to educate staff.
- Ability to provide counseling and emotional support with compassion and respect for the individual.
- Ability to provide support to the members of the care team (teamwork).
- Must possess initiative and ability to work independently.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of medical records.
