Clinical Coordinator of Nursing - Part Time

The Clinical Coordinator works independently to organize and implement student clinical practicums. Motivated, self-directed and highly organized, they work directly with the Faculty Practicum Coordinator to ensure practicums are successful.

Responsibilities:

• Leads clinical placement process through the MOKAN system.
• Seeks out and evaluates new placement sites.
• Creates Practicum schedules.
• Recruits clinical adjunct faculty.
• Arranges student and faculty orientation to clinical sites.
• Visits clinical sites to ensure good student and faculty experiences.
• Represents Avila in the MOKAN organization.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years clinical experience; recent experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required.
• Current undisciplined nursing license in Kansas and Missouri (or multistate) required.
• Clinical teaching experience preferred.
• American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification required
• AHA BLS instructor certification preferred
• Multilingual skills highly preferred.
