Operations Manager

Responsibilities:

Shipping Operations

• Manage daily shipping operations, including order processing
• Assigning pick, pack, and shipping tasks for D2C channel
• Organizing Freight Out to distribution channels
• Scheduling and tracking Freight In from manufacturers
• Provide support as needed to order processing and customer service departments
• Investigate and resolve shipping issues, damages, and missing or lost freight claims
• Coordinate the shipping and delivery to tradeshows
• Oversee hiring, training, and management of shipping and fulfillment staff
• Develop and implement policies to ensure safety on the job for shipping staff

Inventory Operations

• Conducting regular inventory in line with company policies
• Receiving and recording incoming inventory
• Utilize sales forecasts to accurately place new purchase orders for replenishment of inventory
• Manage purchasing plans
• Coordinate inbound shipments from China and Netherlands
• Monitor vendor websites (Amazon, Wal-Mart, Bass Pro Shops) replenish inventory for Amazon Seller Central
• Perform other duties as assigned

Reporting Duties:

• Provide KPI reports to management
• Produce various schedules to accounting department
• Conduct reviews of performance
• Analyze data and provide optimization plans to improve processes

• Basic understanding of how to operate standard business equipment

Software Experience:

• Shipstation is a must
• Shopify preferred
• Netsuite or other ERP systems preferred
• EDI integration knowledge and experience preferred

Education:

• High School Diploma required. BA/BS University degree preferred
• 5+ years of supervisory experience in operations
