Duration:         6+ Months

Job Description:

Position Scope:

  • The Global Trade Analyst is responsible for supporting Free Trade Agreement (FTA) qualification and certification processes by serving as the primary liaison between PwC, BD business units, BD manufacturing sites, and external vendors.
  • This role focuses on troubleshooting Certificate of Origin requests, coordinating data collection, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring timely and accurate completion of supplier solicitations and origin documentation required for FTA programs.

Organize and attend calls, interact with people in multiple areas of the world. Maintain masterdata logs and advise on updates.

Preferred background/prior work experience?

Full understanding of the qualification process for USMCA and the obligations for the company.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for Certificate of Origin and supplier solicitation requests between PwC, BD sites, and vendors.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to FTA certifications, including incomplete, inaccurate, or missing origin documentation.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, procurement teams, manufacturing sites, and PwC to obtain supporting documentation required for FTA qualification analyses.
  • Track and monitor open Certificate of Origin requests to ensure timely responses and completion.
  • Identify and escalate complex origin determination issues to Trade Compliance specialists when necessary.
  • Maintain organized records of supplier certifications, correspondence, and supporting documentation.
  • Follow up with vendors regarding outstanding requests and documentation deficiencies.
  • Assist in generating reports and metrics related to supplier solicitation campaigns and response rates.
  • Help maintain standardized processes and work instructions for FTA certification management.

Position Requirements:

Experience:

·       Associate degree or equivalent work experience preferred.

·       1–3 years of experience in trade compliance, customs operations, procurement, supply chain, or administrative support.

·       Knowledge of Certificates of Origin, supplier solicitations, and country-of-origin requirements.

·       Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

·       Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

·       Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

·       Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

·       Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
