Policy Services Specialist

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and assertive Policy Services Specialist to join our team. As a Policy Services Specialist, you will be responsible for administering the Annuity and Life Insurance Programs at a small Fraternal Benefit Society. This role requires strong knowledge of Annuities and Life Insurance, excellent documentation practices, and outstanding communication skills.

Duties:

- Prepare and process annuity and insurance contracts upon receiving application

- Assist members with making choices, completing forms and conversion applications
- Manage the administrative duties of policy maintenance, claim processing, and dividend handling

- Prepare all forms relating to service and maintenance of our policies, review them for accuracy and completeness

- Prepare and process loan origination paperwork

- Make data changes to the policy system and process claims for payment after verification
- Print and distribute outgoing policy notices on a monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual basis

- Send out forms/letters for various transactions and process when returned

- Serve as a resource for member and sales agent inquiries, by telephone and e-mail, by providing annuity and life insurance policy information

- Explain policy provisions and transaction processing

- Maintain Ohio Life Insurance Licensure requirements

Requirements and Qualifications:

- High School Diploma
- Possession of an active Ohio Life Insurance license for a minimum of two years

- Proven experience as a Policy Service Specialist or in a similar role

- Strong knowledge of Annuities and Life Insurance

- Experience in providing excellent customer service

- Current or prior experience of working face-to-face in an office setting

- Knowledge in the use of basic office equipment, such as a computer, telephone, printer, and fax machine
