Account Executive

At City Produce, our priority has always been to provide the highest quality products, delivered safely and on time. We provide our customers with web order entry, continuous cold chain management and peace of mind when it comes to food safety. We work every day to drive consistency in the areas most important to our customers: Customer Service, Quality, Food Safety, Reporting, Technology.

Essential Functions:

• Service existing accounts, obtains orders, and establishes new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential sales outlets.
• Increase customer sales in accordance with objectives.
• Maintain up-to-date awareness of company activities, industry trends and government regulations.
• Report daily activities on a consistent basis to the Area Sales Manager.
• Train new representatives on the company’s sales policies and procedures as needed.
• Communicate with the inside sales department and the transportation department to meet customer delivery requirements.
• Travel between Dothan, AL, Freeport, FL, and DeFuniak Springs, FL

Education & Experience and Competencies:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Associate’s degree in business administration, management, sales, or a related field.
• At least 3+ years successful related sales experience with an understanding and knowledge of produce food service-related products
• Proficient PC skills in Microsoft Office and common E-Mail systems

Work Schedule:

• Day Shift – 8:00am-5:00pm
• 45-55 hours per week

Compensation:

• Base $50,000 + Commission (Potential up to $70,000/year)

Physical Demands:

• Stand or sit for long periods of time
• Travel as needed
• Occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
• Work in cold and wet environments
