Job Summary

DuraServ Corp. is currently seeking a Lead Contract Administrator for our Corporate office in Carrollton, TX. The Ideal candidate will have a strong background handling contracts for both commercial and residential construction along with experience obtaining and managing Contractors and local business licenses.

Primary Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

  • Responsible for entry of data to the following databases: Contracts, Agreements, and Change Orders (including deductive change orders) for respective Regions.
  • Monitor and respond to group emails in the contracts email for the respective Region(s).
  • Review and approve contracts, agreements, and change orders not to exceed designated signing authority.
  • Complete preliminary review and markups of all Contracts, Agreements, and Change Orders, negotiating to resolution with external customers.
  • Collaborates with Contract Administrator I to ensure all contracts are executed within KPI expectations.
  • Completes and submits monthly Quality Assurance reviews for all members of the Contract Administration team.
  • Responsible for obtaining financial guarantees (i.e. Bonds, Consent of Surety) as required.
  • Provide guidance, advice, and support on contractual matters to Sales during the tender, awarding, and handover phase of the contract.
  • Address and resolve issues as the first line of escalation.
  • Responsible for obtaining and maintaining all local business licenses as needed along with managing all Contractor’s licenses for the company.

  • Experience working with and managing contracts.
  • Excellent prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple and conflicting deadlines.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary for effective interaction with team members, management, and both internal and external customers.
  • The ability to identify challenges, troubleshoot issues, and implement effective solutions.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities but will oversee 1-2 Contract Administrators with guidance and oversight from the Manager of Contracts & Compliance.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

  • In office environment in Carrollton, TX with the potential for Hybrid schedule
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Travel

  • This job requires no planned business travel.

Education and Experience

  • High School graduation or equivalent is required, an associate or bachelor’s degree, is preferred.
  • Experience working with and managing contracts.
  • Excellent communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve goals.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
  • Must take and pass NASCLA Construction Exam within 12 months of hire.
