There are only 3 Neuro-Ophthalmologists in the entire state of Arizona. Dr. Subei, our Neuro-Ophthalmologist, has started his own practice, The Brain and Eye Institute, the only comprehensive Neuro-Ophthalmology Center in Arizona.
We are looking for a qualified medical office manager to manage our medical practice. In this role, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
• Managing and supervising the day-to-day operations of the medical office, including staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation.
• Developing and implementing office policies and procedures in compliance with healthcare regulations and industry best practices.
• Collaborating with clinical staff to optimize patient flow, reduce wait times, and enhance the overall patient experience.
• Monitoring and maintaining inventory levels of medical supplies, equipment, and pharmaceuticals. • Coordinating and overseeing the billing and coding process, including insurance claims and patient billing.
• Implementing and maintaining electronic health record (EHR) systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy in patient data management.
• Conducting regular performance evaluations for office staff, providing constructive feedback and facilitating professional development opportunities.
• Ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality.
• Handling patient inquiries, complaints, and conflict resolution in a professional and empathetic manner.
As a medical office manager, you should demonstrate excellent organizational skills and the ability to perform and communicate well in stressful situations. Our position also requires knowledge of healthcare systems operations.
Ultimately, you should be able to ensure steady workflows and uninterrupted service in our rapidly growing practice.
Requirements and skills
Proven work experience as a medical office manager
Knowledge of accounting, data and administrative processes and principles
Ability to handle medical records discreetly
Knowledge of medical issues and terminology
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Ability to multi-task and perform well in stressful situations
Communication skills and a customer service orientation
BS degree in Healthcare Administration, Business or relevant field
