This position is located at Vandenberg Space Force Base, California or Patrick Space Force Base, Florida.

This position is eligible for a (hybrid) telecommuting schedule.

Essential Functions

  • Create and improve existing Maximo applications to enhance current business operations.
  • Recommend, develop and expand usage of under-utilized Maximo functions which sustain daily operations.
  • Ensure that technical services, such as display changes, data load/migration and custom programming are delivered as scheduled.
  • Research, identify, and assist in the formulation of recommendations about resources required for task execution and completion.
  • Develop Maximo system enhancements such as database changes, workflow changes, configuration changes, automation scripts and BIRT reports (e.g., modify existing reports based on customer requirements, troubleshoot existing reports and develop new reports based on appropriate templates).
  • Perform planning, testing, deploying and maintaining both existing and future Maximo EAM implementations.
  • Provide production support to analyze day-to-day issues and resolve user issues with system performance, availability, and functionality.
  • Contribute to training sessions with end users to understand asset management requirements and to help design a solution that meets their needs.
  • Participate in the development of key project deliverables such as design documents, test documentation, training materials, and administration/procedural guides.
  • Work with IT and Logistics teams to release migration, performance testing and tuning, upgrades and user acceptance testing.
  • Resolve application, interface, workflow, reporting and data integrity issues.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Required Skills

  • Excellent time management and analytical skills
  • Clear and concise communication skills, both oral and written
  • Sound knowledge of Java development skills and experience with JavaScript, including creating user information solutions by developing, implementing, and maintaining Java-based components and interfaces.

Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Logistics Management or related; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Five years of experience using directly related specialized analysis and design techniques including a minimum of three years of experience supporting IBM Maximo Enterprise Asset Management Software
  • In-depth, hands-on experience developing custom Maximo extensions using Java.
  • Demonstrated experience decomposing high-level customer requirements into system-level requirements.
  • Expertise in integrating Maximo with legacy systems and migrating data and modifications between environments.
  • Advanced SQL knowledge including experience writing and Maximo queries, reports and KPIs
  • Strong knowledge of IBM Maximo version 7.6 and later configurations and support (e.g., Maximo Integration Framework, Java, and BIRT report writing).
  • Good understanding of Maximo start center customizations and knowledge of functional aspects of work management or asset management process.
  • Experience with Work order Module, Configuration module (Application Designer, Database Configuration, Escalation, Cron Task), Administration module (Organization, Calendars, Report Administration, Classification)
  • Experience with Assets, Chart of Accounts, Inventory, Planning (job plans and safety plans), preventive maintenance, purchasing (PR, PO, receiving, companies), and Resources (person, crafts, and labor codes)

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

  • COMPTIA Security+ CE certification or ability to obtain and maintain one of these certifications within six (6) months of employment.
  • Maximo Certification is desired, but not required.
  • The flexibility to work occasional non-duty hours or on weekends to support specific project or mission requirements
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance, which includes U.S. citizenship or U.S. naturalization
  • Valid U.S. Driver’s License

The salary range for this role is $76,970 to $98,727; however, RGNext considers several factors when extending an offer for employment, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training and preferred skills and knowledge.
