Location: Raleigh, NC (In-Office)
Join Our Growing Office Solutions Team
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Office Designer / Space Planner to join our Office Solutions team in Raleigh, NC. This role is ideal for a design professional who enjoys creating functional, efficient, and visually appealing workplace environments while collaborating closely with clients, sales teams, and project stakeholders.
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing commercial office spaces, specifying furniture solutions, and managing projects from concept through installation. We are looking for a team-oriented professional with strong technical design skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
This is a full-time, in-office position based in Raleigh, NC.
Key Responsibilities
Workplace Design & Space Planning
  • Design commercial office environments that align with client goals, operational needs, and budget requirements.
  • Develop space plans, furniture layouts, and workstation configurations utilizing industry-standard design software.
  • Create accurate floor plans, furniture specifications, and installation drawings.
  • Incorporate existing furniture and assets into workplace designs when appropriate.
Furniture Specification & Project Coordination
  • Specify commercial furniture, finishes, and accessories that support project objectives and workplace functionality.
  • Collaborate with manufacturers, vendors, and internal teams to identify the best solutions for each project.
  • Prepare furniture specifications, product recommendations, and supporting documentation.
  • Place and track furniture orders to ensure timely delivery and successful project execution.
Client & Team Collaboration
  • Partner with clients, sales representatives, and project teams throughout the design process.
  • Present design concepts, space plans, and furniture solutions to clients.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality, accuracy, and deadlines.
  • Take ownership of project timelines, deliverables, and weekly workload management.
Qualifications
Required
  • Minimum of 2 years of commercial office design, furniture specification, or space planning experience.
  • Degree or equivalent experience in Interior Design, Commercial Design, Architecture, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial furniture systems, workplace design principles, and space planning.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and CAP 2020.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and project management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a collaborative environment.
Preferred
