We are seeking a growth-oriented COO experienced in managing a full P&L responsibility while undertaking ambitious growth strategies in a fast-paced, hyper growth organization in the home-services vertical . This individual will come from a deep operational background with a proven track record for managing complex functions with a diverse employee demographic. We are looking for a dynamic individual that understands how to manage both corporate and field teams, as well as satellite offices and maintain a close pulse on what is happening day-to-day. This person must be successful in playing an active role in the daily matters while also being a steward of the processes, planning, budgeting, and overall infrastructure of an efficient operation. 

Responsibilities

  • The Chief Operating Officer (VP/COO) is responsible for day-to-day operations and reporting to the CEO, as well as communicating with the investor teams on operational performance metrics.
  • Ensure the efficient and cost effective operations of office personnel, satellite offices, and project and field staff.
  • Plans, develops, implements, and evaluates business strategies focused on generating revenue and meeting company financial goals and objectives
  • Focus on strategic client management, business development, personnel management, and management of all project phases.
  • Oversight for all ongoing projects/initiative to ensure that all are effectively moving according to plan objectives, established milestones and measurement criteria
  • Responsible for managing a diverse demographic of employees and business functions including independent contractors, scheduling, warehouse, quality control, repair crews, and more.
  • Build and manage the maintenance warranty contracts to help drive revenue and ensure a best-in-class customer service relationship with the clients.
  • Develop and maintain the operational KPIs to measure performance for both corporate and field teams.
  • Prepare and manage the operational budgets with strict adherence and partner with the leadership team to provide weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance metrics.
  • Prepare accurate organizational performance reports on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis and use this data to drive change and performance improvements
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Lead the charge on building and strengthening a culture of trust and accountability with the teams.
  • Manage internal and external relationships and oversee contract negotiations to optimize cost effectiveness and quality of services.
  • Lead business reviews with the executive leadership teams and private equity partners.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in a leadership role
  • Must have experience as a COO with full oversight of a company's operations
  • Experience in a service-based organization, providing installation and/or maintenance services to residential or commercial buildings - roofing, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, etc.
  • Previous experience working in companies $100M+
  • Excellent financial acumen with experience owning a P&L and budgets
  • Private equity experience
  • Excellent communication skills and an ability to work with all employee demographics - corporate, field, etc.
  • Must understand the service industry and have a strong background in contract development/management
  • Solid negotiation skills
