Job Description:
The Chief Operating Officer (COO) is responsible for the day-to-day operational management of Ballinger Memorial Hospital, a designated Critical Access Hospital (CAH). The COO provides strategic leadership, ensures compliance with CAH regulatory requirements, optimizes rural health delivery systems, and collaborates closely with the CEO/Administrator and executive team members to support high-quality healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities:
Oversee day-to-day operational management of the hospital
Provide strategic leadership for hospital operations
Ensure compliance with Critical Access Hospital (CAH) regulatory requirements
Optimize rural health delivery systems
Collaborate closely with the CEO/Administrator and executive team

Education:

  • Masters degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field required

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership in hospital operations
    At least 5 years of experience in a rural or Critical Access Hospital setting
    FACHE or similar professional certification strongly preferred
