We are seeking a skilled and experienced Information Technology System Administrator to join our IT team. The IT System Administrator will be responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, servers, and networks. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. This position will report directly to the Director of IT.
The IT System Administrator day to day responsibilities include:
System Maintenance and Monitoring:
Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, software applications, and system management tools.
Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions to ensure optimal uptime and performance.
Perform routine maintenance tasks such as backups, updates, patches, and security enhancements.
Server and Network Administration:
Manage and administer servers, including file servers, web servers, database servers, and virtualization platforms.
Configure and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPN connections.
Implement and enforce security policies, access controls, and data protection measures to safeguard the integrity and confidentiality of information.
User Support and Training:
Provide technical support and assistance to end-users, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and resolving technical problems.
Train users on system usage, best practices, and security awareness to enhance productivity and efficiency.
System Upgrades and Migrations:
Plan and coordinate system upgrades, migrations, and deployments to ensure smooth transitions and minimal disruption to operations.
Evaluate new technologies, tools, and solutions to improve system performance, reliability, and security.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
Generate reports, metrics, and performance indicators to assess system health, capacity, and utilization.
These are our education & qualification requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related certifications with experience in IT administration preferred.
Proven experience as a System Administrator or similar role, with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
Strong knowledge of operating systems, server hardware, virtualization technologies, and network protocols.
Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with end-users, stakeholders, and team members.
Systems Administration, support and management of Infrastructure (routers, switches, APs, etc.) and Windows Servers; Active directory, WSUS, Printer Management MS Exchange, VMware, and related systems required
Experience with Network Administration required
Familiarity with Cloud implementations, VoIP and ERP experience is a Plus.
Experience in ERP Administration preferred

Salary Range:$70,000-85,000
