A Bereavement Counselor is needed in Broward County, FL

This position is with a very progressive, well-run, and financially stable Hospice organization. Since 1978, they have been serving the community in Southeast Florida.

Responsibilities

• Monday – Friday with Occasional Weekend or Evening Events
• 3 Days per Week: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM / 2 Days per Week: 11:30 AM – 8:00 PM
• Implement bereavement support services and protocols through client assessment, goal setting, plan of care implementation, progress evaluation, documentation, advocacy, and coordination of service delivery until client goal resolution is achieved.
• Provide short term bereavement counseling through emotional and psychosocial support and services to assist with issues related to grief, loss, and adjustment.
• Must treat all ages for Group and Individual Counseling.

Requirements

• Master's degree in social work or related field required.
• One year experience or education in grief support and mental health.
• Hospice experience preferred.
