IT Manager

The opportunity

Our IT team supports our 400+ global users through various day-to-day IT tasks to keep the team productive and to ensure the business is secure and scalable. In this job, you will lead a team of IT professionals through day-to-day operations and new projects, as well as support individual development and team growth. You will also collaborate with our leaders and drive the implementation of IT processes and systems to enable a productive and secure global workforce.

You will help set the vision for the team and actively coach the team to meet these goals while also taking a hands-on approach to key projects.

What you'll do

• Define and lead IT projects from start to finish including ideation, vendor selection, implementation, and ongoing operations.
• Manage and develop a team of IT professionals through day-to-day activities, including tickets and strategic projects.
• Build a high-performing team from a position of experience through strong leadership, coaching, mentoring, and recruiting.
• Streamline day-to-day operations and refinement of IT processes.
• Configure our networks, manage Google Workspaces, and support end-users
• Refine our onboarding and offboarding procedures to ensure our employees are productive from day one.
• Secure our hardware and systems while being a champion for improvements to our security posture.
• Provide hands-on support to the team as necessary to meet the goals of the business.
• Manage new and existing vendors to maximize the value and impact they have on our company.

Who you are

• 6+ years of IT experience with exposure to multiple facets of IT, such as end-user support, security, networks, remote environments, and access management.
• 1+ year of managerial or project leadership experience
• Able to work in our Nashville, Tennessee office 3 days per week
• Experience in a SaaS-centric environment leveraging Office 365 or Google Workspace, Slack, MDMs, and other cloud management tools to support 400+ team members
• Background supporting both Mac and Windows environments for end-users
• Excellent analytical, logical thinking, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills that support both communications to non-technical and technical resources alike
• An organized and detail-oriented approach to work
• Agile professional who excels in a fast-paced environment and thrives on continuously pivoting strategies to drive business needs forward
• Preferred relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Cloud+, or Security+
• Information Security experience, including certifications such as CISM or CISSP is preferred
• Direct experience with a cloud provider such as AWS or GCP is a plus
