Work You’ll Do

As World Trade Center Utah’s Analyst in Grant Administration, you will lead the development and execution of all grant programs. In order to do this, you will work to:

  • Daily processing of all transactions related to all WTC Utah grants [e.g., State Trade Expansion Program (STEP), Manufacturing Extension Partnership Center (MEP), and other private and not-for-profit grants] using Salesforce and other software tools and resources,
  • Monitor compliance and coordinate administration of grant awards for small and medium-sized businesses to expand internationally,
  • Track and manage all compliance requirements and prepare requisite quarterly reporting for all grants,
  • Assist with preparation of supporting materials for our grant proposals/applications,
  • Identify and develop strategies to optimize the grant administration process,
  • Connect with and facilitate service, grant, and program delivery to high-priority businesses, including those in rural and multicultural communities as well as those that are women- and veteran-owned,
  • Manage the Grant Review Selection Committee process for scoring grant applications,
  • Prepare underlying data and reports to support our external reporting to our federal and state partners and other organizations,
  • Work with the finance team to deliver awards to grant recipients in a timely manner,
  • Prepare and maintain updated budget plans and allocation of the grants,
  • Maintain records for all grant related activities in Salesforce environment,

Qualifications

  • Excellent project management skills with experience in managing and supervising administrative projects,
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills,
  • Strong command over written and verbal communication,
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills,
  • Good understanding of the organization's overall business and its objectives,
  • Ability to perform in cross-functional team approach and job responsibilities,
  • A multi-tasker with strong ability to work under pressure,
  • Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, and produce quality results on time with significant attention to details,
  • Proficient in using computers and office software applications including spreadsheets and databases,
  • Minimum educational qualification is a bachelor's degree. A master's degree in business or other related field is preferred,
  • Experience administering grants is preferred.

Who you will report to

  • You will report directly to our Chief Financial Officer who will set organizational goals and direct the overall strategy of the division.
  • Your success will be measured based on your ability to professionally bring in grant funds and effectively manage all aspects of the process from application to reporting and compliance.
