Job Title: Food Runner/Expo
Compensation: $16.00/hour + Estimated tips ($40.00 - $84.00/shift)
Status: Part-Time
Training Location: Del Amo Fashion Center (Torrance, CA)
Restaurant Location: Downtown Disney - 1547 Disneyland Dr, Anaheim, CA 92802 (RESTAURANT OPENING SUMMER 2024)

About the Role:
Food Runners are responsible for running food to guests at their tables according to Din Tai Fungs Food Running Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Job Responsibilities & Tasks:

• Runs all food and beverages to tables in a timely manner to ensure food quality and in line with Din Tai Fungs Food Running SOP
  • Food items include hot soups (over 140 degrees F), which must be handled with caution and only after formal training
  • Food items include dumplings inside bamboo steamers, which must be handled with caution and only after formal training
• Organizes tickets and food onto trays at the Expo Station
• Packs takeout orders according to Din Tai Fung Takeout Packing SOP
• Cleans and organizes the Expo Station and Takeout Packing Station
• Completes Runner Side Work
• Labels all items in accordance with Health Department regulations and Din Tai Fung procedures
• Attends monthly staff meetings and Food Runner meetings

Supporting Functions:

• Maintains a cheerful, friendly and welcoming demeanor to all guests and co-workers
• Keeps all Front of House areas clean, organized and sanitized
• Lifts/moves boxes, bags, chairs, and tables (up to 50 pounds)
• Assists with regular deep cleaning of the restaurant
• Maintains confidentiality regarding all propriety information, including but not limited to recipes and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
