POSITION: Sr. Payroll Coordinator (exempt)

SUPERVISED BY: Chief Financial Officer

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting or similar discipline, two year'experiencein accounting and business office management, strong working knowledge in computer applications including accounting software and office applications, ability to effectively interact with customers, vendors, and clients. Hybrid role 2 days a week.

Position Type: Full-Time, Monday-Friday

Salary: $52,000-$60,000/yr,

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Responsible for all aspects of accounting including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, fixed assets, semi-annual sales and use tax submissions, 1099 reporting and other accounting and business office functions.
  • Reviews accounting data, identifies and corrects errors, identifies and computes accruals, applies accounting principles to transactions and recommends revisions in accounting procedure to ensure compliance with applicable statutes, laws and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
  • Assist in all month-end and year-end closing procedures, including account reconciliations and preparation of journal entries to ensure financial systems output is consistent, accurate, complete and timely.
  • Manage the outsourced payroll processor in the processing, administration and payment of payroll, payroll taxes and other payroll related functions in accordance with federal and state rules, regulations and deadlines.
  • Ensure departmental compliance with internal controls and processes over transactions and financial reporting to ensure safeguarding of organization's assets.
  • Prepare and perform ad hoc financial reports and analyses as requested.
  • Assist CFO in the administration of cash management processes and the maintenance and monitoring of operational cash flow.
  • Assist the CFO in the preparation of the annual budget.
  • Act as managerial liaison between the business office and the other departments within the organization.
  • Maintain a safe work environment.
  • Arrange for maintenance agreements and maintenance calls on all office equipment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Multitasking and organizational skills are a must.

Physical Requirements
  • May have to lift and carry boxes weighing up to 25 lbs.
  • Mainly a sedentary role, yet some mobility is required.
  • Bend or stand as necessary to operate office equipment and file as needed.
