The Impact You Will Make

The Accounts Receivable Manager is responsible for leading the Accounts Receivable team, ensuring the accurate and timely management of all Accounts Receivable related activities. In this role, you will oversee the transformation and enhancement of the department, utilizing innovative strategies and technologies to streamline processes, increase efficiency, and improve customer relations.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee Accounts Receivable balances by implementing strategic collection procedures and maintaining clear communication channels with field locations and clients to ensure timely payments.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Accounts Receivable team, including performance conversations, ensuring understanding and compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Foster positive relationships with customers by proactively addressing concerns and owning proper follow-through.
  • Investigate discrepancies or issues with invoices and collaborate with relevant stakeholders to resolve them promptly.
  • Design and implement necessary reporting strategies to identify trends, areas of improvement, and potential risks and be able to present to senior management
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and enhance effectiveness in the Accounts Receivable process.
  • Actively participate in team meetings and training sessions to stay updated on industry best practices, company policies, and contribute ideas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather input, review and/or refine existing policies, reporting, and develop new procedures as needed.
  • Partners with individual field locations to ensure a seamless and integrated collections process, leveraging local insights and relationships, and understanding the unique aspects of each individual location.
  • Refine existing reporting process, emphasizing on aging reports, manual reporting, first payment defaults, and cancellations.
  • Lead both in-house and external collections teams to ensure proper collections process.


Requirements:

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelors Degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Accounts Receivable processes, with at least 2 years in a leadership capacity.
  • Experience with Google Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, and Accounts Receivable platforms.
  • Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently, collaboratively, and produce accurate and high-quality work.
  • Experience in the death care industry is preferred.

Work Environment:

  • On-site (Support Center, M-F required).
  • This position operates in a professional office environment which may be noisy or disruptive at times.
