Job Description:

As an Industrial Continuous Improvement Leader, you will be responsible for driving and implementing continuous improvement initiatives across our industrial operations. You will play a critical role in optimizing processes, enhancing productivity, and fostering a culture of operational excellence within our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and Implement Continuous Improvement Strategies: Design and deploy continuous improvement strategies, methodologies, and tools to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.

  2. Lead Improvement Projects: Lead cross-functional teams to identify, prioritize, and execute improvement projects aimed at reducing waste, increasing throughput, and improving quality within manufacturing processes.

  3. Data Analysis and Performance Monitoring: Analyze operational data, metrics, and performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and track progress against targets. Utilize statistical tools and techniques to drive data-driven decision-making.

  4. Facilitate Lean Practices: Champion lean manufacturing principles and practices throughout the organization. Provide training and mentorship to employees on lean tools and techniques to promote a culture of continuous improvement.

  5. Drive Change Management: Lead change management efforts to ensure successful implementation of improvement initiatives. Engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization to gain buy-in and support for change initiatives.

  6. Promote Safety and Quality: Collaborate with safety and quality teams to integrate continuous improvement efforts with safety and quality initiatives. Ensure that improvements align with safety standards and regulatory requirements.

  7. Standardize Processes: Establish standardized work processes and procedures to streamline operations and eliminate variability. Develop and maintain documentation to support process standardization and knowledge transfer.

  8. Provide Coaching and Support: Coach and mentor employees at all levels of the organization on continuous improvement principles and methodologies. Provide guidance and support to ensure successful execution of improvement projects.

  9. Monitor Industry Trends: Stay abreast of industry best practices, emerging trends, and technological advancements in continuous improvement. Incorporate relevant insights and innovations into improvement strategies and initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or related field (Master's degree preferred)
  • years of experience in a continuous improvement role within an industrial manufacturing environment
  • Proven track record of successfully leading and implementing continuous improvement initiatives
  • Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and methodologies (Six Sigma certification is a plus)
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex data sets and identify improvement opportunities
  • Effective leadership and project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive change
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Proficiency in relevant software tools and applications (e.g., Microsoft Office, Minitab, Lean Six Sigma software)
