Job Description

The Sales Manager is responsible for identifying and closing new business partnership opportunities within the youth sports market in accordance with Traveling Teams Inc.’s standard operating procedures.

Sales Manager Summary:

The Sales Manager is responsible for representing the company’s brand image and delivering exceptional leadership. Their main duties are to facilitate active sales efforts, meet or exceed pre-established sales goals, aid in keeping the company profitable, and develop a strong marketing strategy. This entails a high level of ownership, youth sports market expertise, trend analysis, business acumen, and interpersonal skills. Exceptional communication skills with clients and internal teammates are a must.

General Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrating a proven track record of meeting established benchmarks,
  • Identifying valuable markets to cultivate new business,
  • Executing superior customer service techniques,
  • Regularly following up with prospective business partners (leads) to maximize business opportunities,
  • Building and maintaining relationships across a wide spectrum of internal and external stakeholders,
  • Traveling (less than 25% of the time) to industry trade shows and professional networking events, whilst representing Traveling Teams Inc.'s brand image,
  • Exhibiting a self-starter mentality with a passion for customer-centric service in a rapidly growing industry,
  • Staying ahead of industry changes and environmental trends, and
  • Performing all daily duties as assigned by the CEO.
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Active listening and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to solve problems as they arise and maintain confidentiality.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to adapt to new software.
  • Self-motivated, works well with little direction, and has strong persuasion/negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrates initiative and leadership qualities.
Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 1-2 related years of experience preferred; no experience required.
  • Preferred industry experience includes, but is not limited to, sales manager, inside sales representative, youth sports coach, tournament director, etc.
  • Preferred educational background includes, but is not limited to, communications, business administration, hospitality, marketing, and/or sports management.
