Title: Japanese-English Bilingual Manager, Accounting / HR

Dept.: Administration

Report: President & Controller

FLSA Status: Exempt

JOB SUMMARY

Under the direction of the President, manages all aspects of the Human Resource and Manages and assists with the company fiscal functions in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) to handle Accounting and Bookkeeping activities, under the direction of the President and Controller.

SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Keeping track of all accounting and financial records.
  • Preparation of financial statements.
  • Preparation of annual business plan.
  • Managing and processing investments.
  • Preparation and reporting for all taxes.
  • Coordination of Auditing.
    • Fiscal review.
      • Coordinating with Auditors and internal departments.
      • Preparing Information for Auditors.
      • Assisting and answering inquiries from Auditors.
    • Insurance Audit.
      • Coordinating with Auditors.
      • Gathering information needed for audit.
      • Assisting responsible managers during audit.
  • Accounts Payable.
    • Verifying invoices.
    • Cutting checks.
    • Noting payments in ledger.
  • Accounts Receivable
    • Invoicing customers.
    • Tracking receivables.
    • Collections of overdue accounts.
    • Depositing receivables in bank accounts.
  • Tracking and reconciling accounts.
  • Data entry into accounting system.
  • Supporting the Management in creating financial statements, analysis, and other research to support Manufacturing and Administrative requirements.
  • Ensures timely and accurate manufacturing accounting reports, budget analysis, financial review and analysis on Monthly and Year-end basis.
  • Develops and provides financial data in support of manufacturing for productivity, waste & loss, production standards, and cost analysis.
  • Responsible for Human Resource function and maintaining HR systems.
  • Manages Payroll-ADP system, Compensation, and Employee Benefit Programs.
  • Maintains all Employee and Training records.
  • Responsible for Temporary Employee and Vendor management.
  • Manages Employee Relations function to resolve issues and maintain a harmonious work environment within company policies.
  • Responsible for compliance with Employment and Labor Laws.
  • Manages Recruitment functions, interviewing, hiring, and orientation training.
  • Develops and maintains Company Policies, Procedures, and Employee Handbook.
  • Manages coordination of Safety, Environmental, and other Regulatory Programs.
  • Maintains Community Relations.
  • Other duties as required by Management.
  • Ensure appropriate and required records and documentation are maintained.
  • Comply with ISO 9001-2015 / ISO 14001-2015 Quality and Environmental Management Systems Procedures and Work Instructions.
  • Comply with Procedures and Instructions to address our Significant and other Environmental Aspects
  • Comply with MEI Green Procurement and Chemical Substance Guidelines, Procedures, and Instructions.

REQUIRED SKILLS

Knowledgeable and skilled in accounting procedures and requirements.

Detail oriented.

Strong computer skills especially spreadsheet and accounting systems.

Quick learner.

Knowledge of best practices in all areas of Human Resources

Good verbal and written communication and Interpersonal skills.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or equivalent experience.

Three years of Accounting or Bookkeeping or combination of education and experience.

Experienced Accounting Professional, manufacturing accounting background preferred.

Business level Japanese and English
