The Technology Coordinator assists participants, seniors, children, and staff with logging in, accessing software, and printing in the IT Lab location. This position is responsible for reporting issues in IT Labs, and for maintaining the functionality of the lab computers, projectors, and printers used in the IT Labs.
This position reports to the Activities Manager.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Assists participants, seniors, children, and staff with logging in, accessing software, and printing in the Information Technology lab.
- Maintain the functionality of the lab computers, printers, etc. used in the IT Lab
- Be present in the lab and available for consultation when the IT Lab is in use.
- Performs a variety of duties that require the use of good judgement and general knowledge.
- Monitors the Information Technology lab to ensure a safe and secure environment for all participants.
- Surveys all participants prior to-and-after a particular activity to ascertain how the participants felt…what they learned…and how this activity impacts their personal goals.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Has knowledge of and familiarity with general features of Microsoft Windows and Office.
- Has knowledge of technology services used by Harbor House.
- Exhibits exceptional communication skills.
· Exhibits excellent customer service/relational skills.
Education and Experience:
· High School diploma or GED required. (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
· One year’s experience in the field of information technology.
· Must be able to acquire and maintain CPR and First Aid Certification.
Physical Requirements:
· Alternating periods of sitting, standing and walking for up to 8 hour shifts.
· Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
