Accountant

Butler Snow LLP, an AmLaw 200 law firm, is looking for an experienced Accountant to join our team in our Ridgeland, MS office.

What You’ll Do:

• Complete all facets of month end including journal entries, bank and balance sheet reconciliations;
• Identify opportunities to save;
• Research discrepancies
• Gather and review information for tax filing and audits.

What You Bring:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field required.
• At least three to five years of related experience required.
• Payroll experience is a plus

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and flex to accommodate monthly and year end workflow changes
• Ability to prioritize, organize, and personal initiative to handle projects and anticipating what needs to be done
• Detail oriented, highly organized, and have superior analytical skills
• Must possess the ability to manage workflow and focus to meet internal and external deadlines
• Demonstrated knowledge and application of accepted accounting practices
