We are looking for an experienced Commercial Lines Account Manager that can lead accounts team in servicing and writing main street type accounts.

Your job responsibilities as a Commercial Lines Account Manager:
You will provide exceptional service with accuracy through processing renewals, endorsements, policies, and audits by agency required timelines. Ensures timely processing of invoices and client requests. You will coordinate and manage the activities necessary to keep client detail updated in agency management systems. Work with producer on gathering marketing data and retain quotes, client/carrier correspondence in agency imaging system. Advocate for client through marketing process by following up on expirations with producers and underwriters to renew and obtain best coverage and pricing for clients. Assist producer in gathering information to determine market availability for various classes of business. Accompany producer on client visits as required. Obtain quotes from carriers for new and existing business. Negotiate initial pricing and coverages with company underwriters or insurance brokers. Review and prepare coverage analysis through the proposal creation process. Provide producers with the proposal.
Assists and mentors other team members. Answers questions on coverages and processes from other team members. Refer claim issues regarding client loss or company denial problems to the producer and/or claims department. Maintain positive relationship with carriers to assure accurate and timely response. Remain technically competent on insurance coverages and options that are offered by the insurance companies. This includes working towards additional insurance designations and maintaining current designations. Continue to broaden knowledge of the industry with continuing education, learning markets and accessing new ones when necessary for growing a book. Ensure to follow agency errors & omissions best practices.
Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent from four-year college or university preferred.
  • At least five years of experience related to property and casualty account management preferred.
  • Experience with Epic and other insurance related software preferred.
  • Earned and ability to maintain state property and casualty insurance license required.
  • Earned and ability to maintain at least two designations for an accredited program (e.g., CIC, CPCU, AAI, or equivalent) required.
  • An equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience may be substituted in lieu of minimum qualifications.
  • Knowledge of insurance agency operations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Team player with a great attitude, self-motivation and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, multi-tasking, and organizational skills.
  • Must be thorough, detail-oriented and is responsible for working with confidential information.
  • Ability to accommodate immediate requests, perform under short deadlines and coordinate multiple jobs.
  • Ability to function independently with minimal supervision.
