Accounts Payable Supervisor

POSTION SUMMARY:

Manage Accounts Payable and payment processing, including reconciliation of invoices, resolving payment discrepancies within predetermined time frame. Works to ensure timely payments and maintain relationships with our suppliers and business partners.

Under the direction, specific duties include:

Supervises/Leads the Accounts Payable Team:

· Manage Accounts Payable operations to ensure timely resolution.

· Serve as a leader through change management relating to software, policies, and procedures.

· Maintain and improve consistency and efficiency amongst the team. Supports growth and individual development of team member responsibilities.

· Design, develop and implement quantitative and qualitative metrics for the staff.

· Ensure department work instructions are updated and reflect current processes.

· Cultivate relationships with internal and external business partners to ensure policy compliance and implement best practices.

· Serve as back-up for vendor maintenance procedures.

o Train, supervise and evaluate staff including hiring, when business requires.

o Foster a collaborative work environment.

· Participate in the testing of the ERP system updates to ensure continued operation of Accounts Payable processes with minimal interruption.

PREFERRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

· College degree or similar work experience

· 3-5 years of Accounts Payable experience required

· Prior experience with leading a team required

· Knowledge of Accounts Payable and basic accounting principles

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

· Computer knowledge- Excel, Word, PowerPoint

· Experience with an ERP system

· Ability to cross -collaborate with internal and external business partners.

· Effective interpersonal negotiation and communication skills
