Overview
The VP, Operations is a critical leadership position to grow and scale HAUS LABORATORIES. This role will focus on new product innovation process and execution, as well as supply chain operations, ensuring operational and financial alignment with Company goals. The ideal candidate is well versed in all aspects of new product innovation and supply chain, specifically to ensure process and supply chain operations optimization.
In this role, you will lead a diverse team across new product innovation, supply chain and inventory planning. You are accountable for building and motivating the team, delivering key programs on time and developing tactical and strategic plans to maintain a supply chain competitive advantage for Haus Labs. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams as well as external partners to ensure product readiness and on-time delivery throughout the supply chain and ultimately to the end customer. Ideally, you will have experience in a fast-paced environment and be excited by the development of new processes and approaches to support growth and performance improvements.
In addition, this role works with leaders at all levels of the organization and manages a team who are accountable for supply chain and operational needs. It is critical to lead this high-performance team by developing a clear vision for the supply chain operations functions and setting clear direction for the team, as well as fostering a culture of skills development, coaching, and support. This includes establishing long-range objectives and strategies for the supply chain operations team, monitoring performance against objectives and providing feedback to achieve growth within the team.
What You’ll Do
New Product Innovation
Oversee the New Product Introduction Stage Gate process, from project initiation to completion of commercialization for all new product launches, adhering to cost, inventory on-hand targets and timelines
Accountable for delivering key programs on time and in full
Collaborate cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders, including Marketing, Product Development, Packaging, Regulatory, Finance, Sales Channel, Third Party Manufacturers and Suppliers
Own development timelines and ensure team members are held accountable to tasks
Highlight and manage risk awareness and mitigation plans with Leadership Team
Create and own launch post-mortem process and implement learnings
Create and guide the implementation of new process to support the teams
Build, develop and retain New Product Innovation team; providing guidance and support to ensure development and growth
Ad-hoc tasks to help drive the project forward
Supply Chain
Own execution of component and finished goods production plans and delivery schedules in support of optimized inventory, timelines and costs
Accountable for total cost to serve, planning and strategic plans to keep supply chain a competitive advantage
Proven success record on supplier relationship management. Create, foster and own strong working relationships with suppliers and contract manufacturing partners.
Communicate with key internal cross-functional stakeholders to support a consistent flow of information, visibility to any potential problems and smooth operation of the overall supply chain, avoiding any supply disruptions.
Work with demand planners & channel operations on balancing supply availability to enable sales opportunities & responsive solutions to changes in demand. Ensure a balanced level of inventory to minimize excess and obsolete inventory as well as avoid stock outs.
Own supplier performance evaluation through reporting metrics (e.g., schedule adherence, on-time delivery, production rates of finished goods) and facilitating performance conversations with the manufacturers
Identify current and anticipated supply bottlenecks and work with internal and external stakeholders to develop solutions or sourcing alternatives.
Identify opportunities and develop a plan to reduce manufacturing and logistics costs, optimize timelines, and minimize supply chain complexity in support of the Company’s financial and strategic growth plans.
What We Are Looking For
Qualifications
Planning, order to cash and logistics experience in relevant beauty or CPG brand
Proven success record in supplier relationship management and established relationships with key beauty manufacturers and packaging suppliers
12+ years of experience in supply chain and operations with a focus in product operations in beauty or related consumer products industry
Experienced leader to hire, train and manage a team of supply chain and operations professionals
Proven track record of leading teams through process improvements, change management
Experience working with vendors, outside stakeholders (3PL, contract manufacturers, suppliers)
Preferable experience working in a fast-paced start-up environment
Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future

Broad understanding of supply chain and operations functions to manage, retain and hire a team of experts
Self-starter and team player with creative problem-solving skills
Superior multi-tasking and collaboration skills
Process-driven and aptitude to implement systems and processes to achieve business goals
Demonstrated success in creating, implementing and/or leading supply chain operations team, with hands-on experience in new product development processes
Proficiency in NetSuite and Project Management Software (e.g., Wrike)
