Bindery Specialist

Full Sail Media is seeking an exceptional, talented individual to join operations in our growing company as a Bindery Specialist at our Baltimore location. This is a unique opportunity for an individual with interest and experience to work and be involved with the finishing process of digital and offset print production.

The Bindery Specialist candidate must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills with clients and staff. The Bindery Specialist candidates must be highly organized and be able to work efficiently on multiple projects to meet tight deadlines. The right candidate will be extremely well organized, detail-oriented and adept at maintaining multiple calendars. They will be accustomed to ever-changing, fast-paced deadline work and providing creative solutions with a "can do" and "team player" attitude.

The basic duties below are necessary, however not limited to the following.

BINDERY SPECIALIST JOB DESCRIPTION:
The main responsibility of the Bindery Operator is to set up, run and finish jobs on our bindery equipment, and preparing them for shipping and delivery.

BINDERY OPERATOR ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Receive and organize stock and materials

2. Reads job jacket to verify quantity, page count and finishing processes needed to complete the job.

3. Box or skid pack products

4. Loads machines with various materials.

5. Deliver completed project to next operation;

6. Assist in performance of routine preventative maintenance as required;

7. Cleans area

8. Checks folds and stitching, cutting against sample to ensure everything is correct.

9. Fills shipping cartons with the product, verifies that the quantity and product details on the shipping label matches actual product in carton

10. Other duties as may be assigned by supervisor

Qualifications

Ability to:

1. Work 8 hour shifts and overtime as needed.

2. Lift or move up to 50 lbs.

3. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and to stoop, kneel, or crouch.

4. Ability to multitask and meet deadlines daily

5. Attention to detail, checking quality on every job
